Memories of Thailand and Malaysia – Part 1

I have so many pics and so many memories of this awesome trip. What to post?? I love travelling with my kids and this one was a special mother daughter adventure. Thailand was my daughter’s dream trip so I was thrilled when she asked if I wanted to come too. Who could say no to Thailand?? We then learned an old family friend I grew up with now lived in Kuala Lumpur and we were invited to visit her and her family – ummm YA!! Thailand AND Malaysia – sign us up! (Thank you Flight Centre for hooking us up on amazing flight options btw – you rock!)  And the day finally came for us to leave. So 2 crazy large suitcases, 2 carry-ons and travel pillows later, we were off!

After a crazy long Air Canada flight from Toronto to Calgary (haha) we were off on the really long part – Calgary to Tokyo. I guess I’m so used to paying for everything but air on a flight that when the flight attendant came around with wine and beer (oh hell yes!) I automatically reached for my credit card and the flight attendant leaned down and said “I think you paid enough for the flight, don’t you? What will it be?” Free booze!!?? AMAZEBALLS! Sadly, my limit was 2 glasses of wine before I passed out. It was along flight but I guess it’s kind of like childbirth – once it’s over you kind of forget until next time and then it’s like ohhhh riiight, I remember this! But I digress…so about a day later we arrive in Tokyo and now it’s off to catch out connecting flight to Bangkok. But first we had to snap a pic of us in Japan. I mean, that’s pretty cool right?
